Waited in line for about 45 minutes to get a free cupcake from the newly opened Georgetown Cupcake. The cashier recommend either the pumpkin spice or the salted caramel, but truthfully neither of them looked that good, so I went with my go-to flavor of red velvet. The cupcakery had pink balloons everywhere and a giant bird made out of cupcakes. And the co-founders Katherine and Sophie were there for photo-ops! But alas, I still have my old school cell, no smart phone for me. Yet.
I was pretty hungry so the cupcake tasted great. But if I hadn’t been craving sweets I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much. The frosting didn’t have enough of a cream cheese flavor and the cake itself was too dense. And the heart was merely decorative and tasted bland. Pay $2.75 for this? No way!
